If you’re not familiar with chakras, they are the energy centers of the body. There are 7 major chakras that run from the top of the head to the base of your spine. A blockage in any chakra indicates an obstruction in the flow of life-force energy and is thought to have an impact on your physical, mental, emotional and spiritual health.
Since we’re talking about earthing and grounding this month, let’s look at the root chakra.
The root chakra is located at the base of the spine and holds the energy of security and stability. When your basic needs are met, you feel grounded and safe. When the root chakra is balanced and the energy is flowing freely, you feel grounded and safe. It’s easier to harness courage, resourcefulness and the will to live during challenging times...like right now.
But if your root chakra is blocked, you can feel insecure, anxious, worried, depressed, panicked, frustrated, angry, resentful and/or having no interest in life or the world. Physical symptoms could include lower back problems, sluggishness, cramping, bladder issues and more.
If you want to open up your root chakra and help it thrive, here are some tips that will help you ground yourself.
